Large kitchen island from Robson Rak Architects
Robson Rak is an established firm of architects currently undertaking a range of residential and commercial projects within the Melbourne metro and Victorian region, Australia. The company was founded by Kathryn Robson and Chris Rak, hence the name Robson Rak.
In their portfolio we found this Merricks Residence. It’s a 10-acre farm located in Merricks North, near Melbourne, Australia. The owners, who had two young children, wanted a new house with enough room for their family to grow and enjoy through the generations.
That’s why this house has a lot of open spaces. The kitchen is also very spacious; with a large cooking island and plenty of storage space. The huge skylight above the stove lets in plenty of natural light, enhancing the feeling of space. This skylight ensures that the central zone of the kitchen is bathed in beautiful light from sunrise to sunset.
This beautiful kitchen consists of two parts; the front of the kitchen has a large island bench with beautiful hand made tiles and the second part of the kitchen is made of stainless steel.
